Mission: Possible

What an exciting two years we have had in Marketplace ministry. There have
been a few challenges, as there always are when starting a new business, but
the opportunities have far outweighed them.
When I think of the obstacles the Apostle Paul must have come up against in
his ministry, as he diligently made tents with Aquila and Priscilla in
Corinth, and "reasoned" with Jews and Greeks alike, I am so thankful for the
mission field He has given us. Sharing the gospel today, even in the
marketplace, was made so much easier by those missionaries that went before
us.
I was recently asked to speak to a group of local business women at an
Executive Women International meeting (of which I am a new member) and
explain a little about our company, how and why we got started, and what we
are called to do. The thought of sharing my heart openly with a group of
women that I did not know very well, much less know their spiritual walk,
was one of those challenges I mentioned. This isn't like stepping in the
pulpit in church (comfort zone) but more like picking my way through a
spiritual mine field, just hoping not to offend anyone but having a
desperate desire to share the truth. I prayed and asked Jesus to guide me
through and He did!
It was thrilling to be able to share with these ladies the calling the Lord
has put on our lives, to encourage them to share their faith in their
particular sphere of influence, and to just trust the Lord by being as
transparent as possible with each other. Several of the ladies thanked me
for reminding them to share their faith no matter where they were and some
said they wanted to get together to share some more or learn more.
As Covenant Beverage Corporation begins it's third year we have also
expanded our tent pegs in a few more directions. Covenant added new
distributors in the tea and coffee division and has recently opened a spice
division. We now distribute R.L. Schreiber Spices under the sales direction
of our son Mark.
In Acts 18 we see that Paul, Silas, Timothy, Aquila & Priscilla minister
together in Corinth. We are so thankful for our co-laborers and partners
for helping us to get the word out..
