Proclamation Journey

As many of you know, at some point in your walk with God you reach a time
when you are asked to do something out of obedience. No explanation is
given and if you venture to ask why you will find He has gone silent. These
inexplicable requests don't come with instructions or a promise of the
outcome. This side of heaven all you can be sure of is that He is looking
for obedience. The following is my report after obediently completing one of
these requests.
Approximately six months ago I had a dream that I felt was prophetic. This
particular dream concerned the state of Oklahoma and because of this and the
fact that he was in the dream I sent a brief description to Tim Bence, a
fellow soldier of Christ, in Oklahoma City. After extensive prayer and
consultation Tim and I agreed as to the meaning of the dream and what our
part was to be. This led us on a journey that traversed the entire state of
Oklahoma and provided us with an opportunity to make heavenly proclamations
at specific sites along the way.
The short version of the dream was that Tim and I were touring the state of
Oklahoma. We only had three specifics in the dream; we had to get to Enid,
we had four segments of roads to traverse and we needed to cover part of the
"Trail of Tears". With this as the backdrop, we started our journey out of
obedience June 20th. Tim met me on the Texas side of the Red River at
Gainesville and with three blasts of the shofar we proclaimed an open heaven
over the state of Oklahoma and crossed the river. The journey had begun.
We had gained insight into what we were to accomplish to some degree as we
started; the rest would develop as we traveled the land. We set out to
survey the state of Oklahoma but more importantly the 39 sovereign nations
inside the boundaries of this territory.
We traveled the southern portion of the state along Hwy 70, going east to
Idabel where we turned north and headed up Hwy 259. We moved to the
interior of the state late the first night in time to meet Dr. Jay Swallow
at Two Rivers Native American Training Center at Hectorville. Jay is
Southern Cheyenne/Sioux and is a direct descendant of Peace Chief Black
Kettle. He is Minister to the Indigenous Nations of the United States and
Canada, and serves as Regional Director over Native American Churches. Jay
met with us and discussed our journey and what he saw on the horizon. He
placed hands on us and prayed, releasing the anointing of his mantle upon us
for the trip. It was late into the night when we got to Tulsa to complete
the first day of our journey.
Day two we crossed over into Arkansas to meet with a group of prayer
intercessors at Eastgate Fellowship. We felt it was important to enter from
Fayetteville on the east to traverse a portion of the "Trail of Tears" from
Fayetteville to Tahlequah. We stopped at strategic locations and proclaimed
justice to replace the injustices against the Native peoples of this
territory. We stopped for the night in Bartlesville so we would be rested
and prepared for what lay ahead in Enid. Even our choice of hotels proved
to be prophetic. When we came down to breakfast the morning of the third
day praise and worship was taking place in a meeting room just off of the
restaurant. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord ."(Psalm
37:23) You just can't plan things like this. We enjoyed the worship as we
ate and it was off to Enid.
Enid was the only specific town mentioned in my dream. In the dream I was
telling Tim we have to get to Enid. With our only instructions being "go
ye" we really didn't know what to expect on this trip and we sure didn't
know what to be looking for in Enid. Tim and I decide to stop at the
Cherokee Strip Museum. Tim knew that it housed the building where claims
were filed during the land rush, and also the first church built in the
Cherokee Strip was on the grounds of the museum. This proved to be the
right move. We toured the museum, then went out on the grounds to the
church building constructed in 1902. We had the building all to ourselves
and this gave us the opportunity to pray, proclaim and prophesy God's heart
over the years and at that moment. We accomplished what we set out to do in
Enid. At the time we didn't know what that was, but Tim and I both had a
peace about our mission now. When we left town we hadn't traveled very far
when I overtook a pickup on the four-lane highway. Just as I almost
completed my pass the truck slowly pulled back alongside and got even with
the Suburban. When I looked over at the driver he smiled, tipped his head,
waved and gave us thumbs up. At this point we had traveled well over 1,000
miles and no one had even noticed the Kenshire Ministries vehicle, yet when
we completed our task in Enid immediately we were acknowledged. It was as
though God was saying "you have accomplished what I have asked of you to
date". Prior to beginning our trip the Lord had told Tim "to pay attention
to the little things along the way". This was one of those little things.
Outside of Enid is a historic monument that tells about Chief Joseph of the
Nez Perez and his part in the acquisition of deeds to the land for settlers.
Jay Swallow had asked us to pray for justice to return to the land at this
site. We were grateful for the opportunity to comply with Dr. Swallow's
request. With long mournful blasts of the shofar we prayed and sought
forgiveness for the sins against the people of this territory. We journeyed
on to the west.
Our third night we joined a prayer team at New Liberty Church and prayed
with them. At the end of their meeting they graciously prayed for us and
the pastor delivered a word to Tim and me concerning our next journey. He
saw dark clouds behind us and stated that the next trip would not be as easy
as the first. To us the good news was that we would have another journey.
We chose not to dwell on the dark clouds, just remember them. Out of
obedience we backtracked and spent the night at Black Kettle National
Grassland Reserve. This area was the site of the Washita River Massacre of
Peace Chief Black Kettle and his village. I didn't have an explanation for
Tim when I told him I felt we needed to camp out on the grounds of Black
Kettle, but then he didn't need one. Tim had for some reason packed a tent.
On day four we traveled to Burns Flat, Frederick, Lawton and up to Oklahoma
City. I then closed the loop back to the Texas line and journeyed on to
Kenshire. It made for a long day but the mission was complete and that part
of our work was done. We had covered 2,228 miles, and more things than we
know at this time. If you go on line you can find details concerning the
individuals and areas I have mentioned in the article. I have only covered
the highlights here, if you are interested in the details and specifics of
the trip please contact me and I will forward a detailed report.
I will close this article with a message the Lord gave Tim after we had an
incredible prayer time at the historic church in Enid. The Lord showed Tim
this church was no longer used as a church; it no longer functioned as it
was designed, the church was now relegated to being a museum piece. "He who
has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches". (Revelation
3:6).
