The Spirit of Grace
The Spirit of Grace a large cargo ship, loaded with about 100 tractor trailer loads of relief supplies, has set sail for Israel! The three massive holds are packed with every type of relief supply including clothes, blankets, housing materials and much needed food. Kenshire Ministries is happy to be a part of this historic event! Here is a short ship report for The Spirit of Grace. It was sent via email from the ships captain, David Tipton to David Drieling the day before Thanksgiving.

We will be doing some touch-up work to make the ship look special for our entry into Israel.Deck Department had life raft familiarization training, burned trash, hucked slop, and continued welding patches plates on the sides of the chartroom. The old SAT-A antenna was removed from the Flying Bridge. Work continued on locks and latches as well. Our mate is taking some medication for the pain in her hands she is experiencing and also altering her diet. The pain persists, but we are all praying for her healing. The Fuel Oil Purifier is being repaired. Rebekah is working on a list of things to do to "spiff up" the Engine Room before we get to Israel. She has a real gift for organizing and cleaning. We may not have the proper color paint onboard to re-paint the deck plates, but we are checking. Engineering Department Training was on the Ship Electrical System.Big plans are afoot for Thanksgiving Dinner. The Galley is really going to make it special and several people are going to bake special pies, "just like mom used to make." We are rationing butter and oatmeal so we have enough for the whole trip; we're really going through those two commodities very quickly. Diane and the kids made gingerbread cookies for the crew yesterday, they were great. Lunch was hot dogs, peas & carrots, and grilled potatoes. Dinner was taco salad, Mexican rice, corn, and cabbage with chips and nacho cheese dip.
